1. Information We Collect
- Account details such as phone number and profile information.
- Appointment and service-related records (including home services, lab tests, and related bookings).
- Payment-related metadata needed to process or confirm transactions (handled in line with our payment partners).
- Technical usage information to improve performance and security.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To deliver reminders, alerts, and service communications.
- To schedule visits, register orders with our laboratory partner systems, and make results available to you in the app.
- To improve user experience, reliability, and support.
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
3. Where your data goes (simple flow)
When you use RMC Plus, information does not stay only on your phone. It follows a controlled path so we can run the service safely and reliably:
- Your device — You enter details (for example profile, address, selected services or tests, and booking times) in the RMC Plus app.
- RMC Plus servers (our backend) — The app sends this information over an encrypted connection to servers operated by Rajalakshmi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (RMCHRI) / RMC Plus. We store and process it there to authenticate you, fulfil bookings, send notifications, and keep an audit trail for care and operations.
- Clinical / laboratory partner (CrelioHealth) — For certain features (see section 4 below), the minimum information needed to register your order, generate a bill, schedule collection or a visit, and deliver lab-related outcomes is transmitted from our servers to CrelioHealth (also referred to as “Crelio”), our integrated laboratory information partner. Crelio does not receive your full app history—only what is required for that clinical workflow.
- Other processors — We also use trusted providers (for example cloud hosting, messaging, maps, or payment gateways) strictly to operate the app. They receive data only under contract and for defined purposes.
We do not sell your personal information. Sharing is limited to what is needed to provide the service, comply with law, or protect safety.
4. CrelioHealth (“Crelio”) — what it is and why your data goes there
CrelioHealth is a third-party laboratory information and healthcare workflow platform (LIMS / related services). RMCHRI / RMC Plus connects to CrelioHealth’s APIs so that when you book eligible services—such as lab tests or certain home-care services that are billed and tracked like lab visits—your booking can be registered, priced, scheduled, and updated (including status and reports where applicable) in the same clinical pipeline used by the hospital’s laboratory operations.
Typical categories of information that may be sent to CrelioHealth include:
- Identifiers needed to tie the order to you or the patient profile you booked for (for example internal user or patient identifiers used by our systems).
- Order details: selected tests or mapped service lines, visit or collection type (e.g. home collection), date/time window, and related instructions.
- Address or location fields required for home collection or routing, when you provide them for that booking.
- Billing and order metadata generated in the clinical flow (for example bill or order references used to track the visit).
CrelioHealth processes this information as a service provider / processor on behalf of RMCHRI / RMC Plus for those workflows, under agreements and technical controls. It may store and process data on CrelioHealth infrastructure in line with their own security and compliance practices. For how CrelioHealth handles personal data in its environment, you should also review CrelioHealth’s privacy documentation and notices available through their official channels (for example creliohealth.com).
If you do not use features that depend on CrelioHealth, routine app activity that does not trigger a lab or linked home-service registration may not involve transmission of your data to CrelioHealth.
5. Data Sharing (other than CrelioHealth)
Besides the flows described above, we may share data with other healthcare partners, trusted service providers who help us run the platform, and legal authorities where required. We do not sell personal data.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Data in transit between the app and our servers is protected using industry-standard encryption where applicable.
7. Data Retention
Personal information is retained only as long as required for service, legal, clinical, and operational purposes—including periods required for healthcare records and partner systems such as CrelioHealth where orders were registered.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may request correction, update, or deletion of your information, subject to legal and clinical retention requirements. Some records linked to completed laboratory or care workflows may need to be retained even if you close your account.
9. Cookies and Tracking
If web interfaces are used, basic cookies or similar technologies may be used for session continuity, analytics, and security.
10. Children's Privacy
RMC Plus is not directed to children under the age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect data from children without authorization.
11. Policy Updates
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page. If we materially change how data is shared with partners such as CrelioHealth, we will take reasonable steps to notify you as required by law or through the app.
12. Contact
For privacy requests, please use the support options available within the RMC Plus app.
